Yelp San Antonio Celebrates AAPIHM at Sari-Sari Store (Stone Oak)
We're celebrating Asian American Pacific Heritage Month by spotlighting Asian-owned businesses throughout San Antonio!
Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month (AAPIHM) is celebrated in May to help recognize the achievements and contributions of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States. May was declared to be APIHM through Congress to commemorate both the immigration of the first Japanese people to the United States on May 7, 1843 and the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad on May 10, 1869.
For the month of May, we are partnering with the local Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Restaurant Community to bring awareness and support to our AAPI community through the first San Antonio AAPI Heritage Month Restaurant Passport. For this special Yelp event, we want to encourage you to start your passport journey and stop by Sari-Sari at Stone Oak to receive a printed copy of the passport, a complimentary halo halo dessert, and a special surprise!
